There is a lot of hate for this movie. And I’m not completely sure why. Yes, there are several stupid moments, cliches, and failed attempts to show an epic shot. But overall this movie was pretty enjoyable. The acting was well-done, the story was pretty straightforward.
More development could have gone to the Ranger. Like, why was he so against guns? And why did he so suddenly change his mind?
I was afraid that Depp/Tonto would overshadow Hammer/Reid as he did in the promotional material, but it didn’t come across that way to me in the film.
